Device found but pairing failed

Reset Bluetooth, check phone permissions and Wi-Fi, then retry pairing or reset the glasses if pairing still fails.

If the app finds your glasses but pairing still fails, reset the connection and retry in this order.

Reset the Bluetooth connection

  • Restart Bluetooth on your phone.

  • If Looktech appears in the connected-device list, open its settings and choose Forget This Device.

Check phone settings

  • On Android, make sure the Looktech app has Location Permission enabled and set to Allow all the time.

  • Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to a stable network.

  • Move away from other active Bluetooth devices that could cause interference.

Restart the glasses

  • Press and hold the AI Button and Capture Button together for 3 seconds to power off.

  • Press the Capture Button once to power on again.

Enter pairing mode manually

  1. Press the Capture Button 3 times quickly. The light turns solid blue.

  2. Within 10 seconds, press and hold the Capture Button for 5 seconds.

  3. Wait for the light to flash blue rapidly.

When the blue light is flashing, the glasses are ready to pair again.

Restart the app and try pairing again

  • Force-close the Looktech app.

  • Reopen it.

  • Keep the glasses within about 1 meter of your phone during pairing.

Reset the glasses if the steps above fail

Factory reset erases data stored on the glasses.

  1. Quickly press the AI Button 5 times. The indicator turns solid red.

  2. Within 10 seconds, press and hold the AI Button for 5 seconds.

  3. Keep holding until the red light flashes.

After the reset, the glasses will flash blue and can be paired again.

Report the issue in the app

If pairing still fails, report the issue in the app through Settings -> Report an Issue. You can also see How to report an issue for the full reporting flow.
