Overview
Notes is the “record hub” of Looktech AI Glasses. It helps you capture information in two ways, and then view, search, export, or delete your notes in the Looktech app:
Recording → Transcription → Summary
Best for meetings, interviews, classes, and long-form voice notes.
Memo Notes (chat with Memo, optional photos)
Best for hands-free note-taking while moving, and for scenarios where you want photos + text together.
Think of Notes as your portable meeting minutes assistant, idea journal, voice memo notebook, and field log.
Where to Find Notes
Open the Looktech app and go to Notes from the home screen. You’ll see a list of notes. Tap any note to open the full details.
Each note includes:
An auto-generated title
Date & time
A tag indicating how the note was created
#Memo: Notes created from conversations with Memo
#Recording: Notes created from audio recordings and transcription
Recording Notes
Best For
Meeting minutes, interviews, classes
Long-form thinking, reflections, brainstorming
Continuous recording where pauses won’t interrupt your flow
Key Features
The glasses stream and save audio to your phone in real time
After recording, the app automatically transcribes the full content
Once transcription is complete, the app generates:
An auto title
Structured sections such as a summary, highlights, action items, and more
Speaker detection is supported:
Different speakers are shown in different colors
You can edit speaker names manually
If an audio file is available, you can use playback controls
Important: Audio is stored locally only. If the local audio file is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
How to Record
Start a Recording (on the glasses)
Double-press the AI Button (left temple) to start recording
The recording will be saved to your phone.
While Recording
You’ll see:
The glasses’ working indicator turns orange during recording
A Pause button and recording duration in the app
Pause / Resume
You can pause or resume recording manually in the app.
End a Recording
On the glasses: short-press the AI Button to stop
Or in the app: tap End
Auto-Stop Rules
Maximum recording length: 2 hours (auto-stops when timed out)
If recording stays paused for more than 10 minutes, it auto-stops
Memo Notes
Best For
Quick notes while walking, biking, cooking, or doing hands-on work
Photo-backed notes (devices, exhibits, signs, whiteboards, products, etc.)
Conversational note-taking: capture ideas while you talk
Key Features
Notes created through Memo conversations are automatically tagged #Memo
You can ask Memo to take a photo and save it in the note
Tip: After “Hey Memo” becomes available, Memo Notes will be even better for a fully hands-free experience.
Note Management
Ask Memo about your notes
Notes can be used as an external knowledge base that Memo can reference. You can ask Memo to search your Notes and answer questions, for example:
“Tell me the action items from my marketing meeting last Wednesday.”
“What was the idea I saved before for my Italian trip?”
Export & Delete
In the top-right corner of a note, you can:
Export audio (if available)
Export transcript and summary
Delete the note
Language Support
Supports Chinese, Japanese, and English
The recognition language follows your app language/system language
For best accuracy, make sure the correct language is set in the app before recording.
Recommended Use Cases
Meetings: record → auto summary → extract action items → export to your team
Interviews / podcasts / user research: transcript + speaker separation + tap-to-jump playback verification
Study: record lectures → review summary fast → use transcript for details
Brainstorming: long recording without interruptions, or quick Memo notes for single ideas
Field notes (recommended): Memo photo + voice context to capture “what you saw” and “what it means.”
Tips for Better Results
Choose Recording Notes for long sessions—pauses won’t interrupt your thinking.
Choose Memo Notes when you need photos or hands-free notes.
Set the correct app language before recording for better transcription accuracy.
Don’t uninstall the app before exporting important audio—local audio will be removed and cannot be restored.
Rename speakers (e.g., “Speaker 1/2”) to real names for clearer meeting notes.
Privacy & Security (Audio vs. Notes)
To protect your privacy, Notes uses a deliberate storage approach: audio stays on your phone; notes sync across devices.
Audio Storage & Access
Audio files are stored locally on your current phone only
When you sign in on another device or in another app environment, audio will not be available (and playback controls may not appear)
Audio Deletion
Audio is removed when:
You delete the note (the associated local audio is deleted together), or
You uninstall the app (local audio is removed as well)
Notes Sync & Encryption
Note content (transcript, summary, structured points, etc.) syncs so you can access it across devices
Notes are protected with an encrypted transmission and encrypted storage
