Memo can help you start phone calls from a voice request. To call people by name, first allow Contacts access in the Looktech app.
Turn on Contacts for calls
Open the Looktech app.
Go to Settings.
Tap Calls.
Turn on Contacts.
If your phone asks for permission, allow Looktech to access Contacts.
When Contacts is on, Memo can match names in your contacts when you ask it to make a call.
If you do not want to allow Contacts access, you can still ask Memo to call a phone number directly.
Ask Memo to make a call
Start Memo in either of these ways:
say "Hey Memo"
press the AI Button once
Then ask for the call you want. Use the contact name saved on your phone, add a number label when a contact has more than one number, or say the phone number directly.
Examples:
"Hey Memo, call Alex."
"Hey Memo, call Alex's work phone."
"Hey Memo, call +1 415 555 0198."
If Memo asks you to confirm the person or number, answer clearly before the call starts.
Control a call on your glasses
Use the call controls on your glasses and phone for incoming calls and active calls.
You can use the Media Crown for basic call controls:
press once to answer an incoming call
press twice to end an active call or reject an incoming call
For the full button reference, see Controls by button.
If Memo cannot make the call
If Memo says Contacts access is off, open Looktech app -> Settings -> Calls and turn on Contacts. If your phone previously denied access, tap Go to Settings or open your phone's system settings and allow Contacts for Looktech.
If Memo cannot find the person you asked for, try one of these:
say the person's full contact name
specify the number label, such as work, home, or mobile
say the phone number directly
check that the contact has a callable phone number saved on your phone
If the call still does not start, make sure your glasses are connected to the Looktech app and try again.
