How to use the AI assistant

Start Memo by voice or button, ask questions, use camera-assisted replies, and review conversation history in the app.

Updated today

Use Memo for hands-free questions, camera-assisted answers, and quick everyday help through your glasses.

Start Memo

You can wake Memo in either of these ways:

  • say "Hey Memo"

  • press the AI Button on the left side of the glasses

If you use voice wake-up, make sure it is enabled in Looktech app -> Settings -> Data Controls.

After you say "Hey Memo," speak your request right away. You do not need to wait for another sound before talking.

Ask Memo for help

Once Memo is active, ask your question naturally.

Examples:

  • "What's the weather like today?"

  • "Remind me to take a break in 30 minutes."

  • "Translate 'good morning' into Spanish."

  • "Play next."

  • "Take a photo."

While Memo is preparing a response, you will hear a short loading sound.

Use Memo with the camera

You can ask Memo to take a photo and answer based on what it sees.

Use either of these methods:

  • press and hold the AI Button

  • say a request such as "Hey Memo, take a picture and tell me what this is"

This is useful for things like object recognition, reading labels, or understanding a scene in front of you.

View responses and history in the app

If your phone is nearby, the app can show conversation history alongside the transcript.

In the app, you can:

  • review conversation history

End a conversation

You can end the conversation in either of these ways:

  • press the AI Button once

  • stop asking questions and let Memo end the session automatically
